DOT credits tourism growth to marketing pros of hotels

Foreign tourist arrivals to the Philippines went up by 8.5 percent from January to August 2018.  This explains the arrival of around 4.85 million guests to the country. This number shows that the Philippines remains to be a top choice among international travelers.

Undersecretary for Tourism Development Planning, Benito C. Bengzon highlighted how the country “has kept a high profile in the world of tourism” and proves to still be a “sought-after” destination.

On behalf of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Fatima Romulo Puyat at the Virtus Awards 2018 of the Hotel and Sales Marketing Association International (HSMA), Bengzon expressed his gratitude to the organization for recognizing the hard work and creativity of the sales and marketing professionals in the hotel industry. Bengzon said they have contributed to the growth of Philippine tourism.
