New Clark City almost ready for 2019 SEA Games

The world-class facilities of New Clark City are on track to being completed before the 30th Southeast Asian Games. The games will begin in November 2019.

BCDA President and CEO Vivencio Dizon said that phase one of the 200-hectare National Government Administrative Center (NGAC) in New Clark City has “significantly progressed” since it broke ground in January 2018.

Outstanding facilities await for the 30th SEA Games

Phase one development of the NGAC involves the construction of back-up offices of different agencies. This is to ensure smooth business operations and services in the event of disasters or national calamities. It is also further subdivided into two parts: Phase 1A and Phase 1B.

Phase 1A includes the development of the world-class Athletics Stadium, Aquatics Center, Athlete’s Village, and government housing for thousands of athletes and government workers.

Phase 1B, on the other hand, involves the construction of more government buildings, residences, and support facilities.
