Lubao Balloon and Music Fest Soars Once Again

On April 11-13, over 65,000 attendees witnessed a spectacular fusion of hot air balloon displays and top-tier OPM performances. Because after a six-year hiatus, the Lubao Balloon and Music Fest returned in full swing at Pradera Verde, Lubao, Pampanga!

Colorful Skies with a Global Flair

The skies lit up early on Friday, April 11, as 26 vibrant hot air balloons from seven (7) countries—namely Australia, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and the Philippines—took flight.

And with this year’s theme being “Back On Air,” visitors lined up as early as 4 AM to watch these elaborate contraptions lift off!

OPM at its Finest

The Lubao Balloon and Music Fest didn’t just deliver in the “balloon” category; the festival offered a full OPM experience on all 3 days!

Opening Night featured acts like Darren Espanto, ALAMAT, Mayonnaise, The Juans, and Ben&Ben.

Day 2 continued the party with Kyle Echarri, Lola Amour, Earl Agustin, fan-favorite love team “Ashbin” (Ashtine Olviga and Rabin Angeles), and Skusta Clee.

Lastly, Day 3 was headlined by Bamboo, who shared the stage with James Reid, Zack Tabudlo, Silent Sanctuary, and Juan Karlos.

Good Old Family Fun

The festival grounds were alive with a variety of attractions for everyone to enjoy.

Families and friends explored a stacked food bazaar full of local delicacies and international eats. Not only that, there were also interactive zones, games, balloon rides, and photo spots! 

A Tourism Boost

According to local officials, the Lubao Balloon and Music Fest gave a much-needed boost to the town’s tourism industry. Small businesses, transport services, and local vendors also benefitted from the influx of visitors. 

In the end, the festival strengthened Lubao’s standing as a must-visit destination in Central Luzon, proving that large-scale cultural events can help drive economic growth and community pride.
