Koreans, Europeans eyeing PHL for energy investments

Members of the South Korean energy sector recently visited The Philippines, and left optimistic about potential business between our countries.

According to the Board of Investments (BOI), the Korean delegation attended an investment briefing facilitated by BOI Director for International Investments Promotion Service Angelica M. Cayas. The meeting featured presentations from Philippine government officials, showcasing the country’s energy policies and development trends, along with the status of its power sector. The meeting was tailored for investment opportunities catered to South Korean power companies.

Early 2017 saw a European business delegation from the EU Business Avenues (EUBA) in South East Asia program attend a similar meeting. Attendees included company representatives from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.
