Isabela’s Third District Gets 36 New School Buildings

To elevate the level of education in the country, building better schools is a step in the right direction.

36 new school buildings have been completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways-Isabela Third District Engineering Office (DPWH-ITDEO) together with the Department of Education (DepEd) in Isabela’s third district.

The completion of the school buildings is a sign of support of both departments to the government’s education program. The funding of the projects came from DepEd’s 2016 Basic Educational Facilities Fund (BEFF).

District engineer Editha C. Babaran said the additional school buildings were designed to accommodate the increasing number of enrollees in the schools. The buildings were composed of 14 one-storey buildings, 11 two-storey buildings, five three-storey buildings, and six four-storey buildings.

“The completion of these projects is a manifestation of our support to the education program,” Babaran said.

All those who are involved with the projects are hoping that these newly-built school buildings will help create a bright future for the students.

The school building projects in Isabela’s third district are located in Dingading Integrated School, Bagong Sikat Elementary School – Annex 1, Bonifacio Elementary School, Caloocan Elementary School, Sto. Niño Integrated School, San Guillermo Vocational and Industrial School, Reina Mercedes Vocational and Industrial School, and Alicia National High School.
