French, German firms keen on investing in New Clark City

European companies are looking to operate their business activities in New Clark City, the Philippines’ next big metropolis breaking ground in Central Luzon.

According to Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President and Chief Executive Officer Vivencio Dizon, they are expecting French firm SEMMARIS to complete a feasibility study on establishing an International Food Market inside the New Clark City by the end of 2018.

SEMMARIS runs Rungis International Market, the biggest market in Paris. They have partnered with Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) to conduct the feasibility study of the International Food Market.

BCDA aims to link buyers and sellers of food and agricultural products through the International Food Market. Moreover, the project is expected to help provide local farmers with direct market access and earn higher income.
