Flying High: NAIA is the 10th Most Improved Airport in the World

From one of the worsts to one of the most improved in the world. The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) was recently listed in the top ten most improved airports for 2018 based on an airline customer satisfaction survey.

Skytrax, the organization behind the survey, handed out 13.73 million airport survey questionnaires to 100 different nationalities from August 2017 to February 2018. The winners for the Skytrax World Airport Awards were then voted for by air travelers.

The most improved airports are chosen “based on the relative year-on-year Quality performance by all airports featured in the World Airport Survey, and takes into account the change in rating together with performance changes across the different product and service categories in the awards” according to Skytrax’ official website.

Rome Fiumicino Airport bagged the number one spot followed by Perth Airport, Calgary International Airport, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, and Athens International Airport.

Aside from NAIA, the Nadi International Airport, Aéroports de Montréal Sheremetyevo International Airport (Moscow), and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (Houston) complete the top 10 of the most improved airports in the world.
