307 hotels, resorts accredited to operate in Boracay — DOT

The Department of Tourism (DOT) announced that 307 hotel and resort establishments are now accredited to operate in Boracay Island. According to the latest Boracay Bulletin, 10,982 rooms are available for tourists in the world-renowned island.

These establishments have been accredited by the Boracay Interagency Task Force, which is composed of Environment, Tourism, and Interior departments.

Book only in accredited establishments

The tourism department also reminded the public to ensure they are transacting with accredited establishments as they are the only ones allowed to accept bookings and reservations.

“We would like to remind the public that only the Boracay Island accommodation establishments that are compliant with the requirements of the DENR (Department of Environment and Natural Resources), the DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government), and accredited by the DOT are allowed to accept bookings and reservations,” the Boracay Bulletin stated.

It also mentioned that establishments with no permits, clearances, or accreditation from the DOT, DENR, and DILG have no assurance of being re-opened for business.
