MOA SKY: SM Mall of Asia’s Epic Upgrade!
Ever since the SM Mall of Asia opened its doors in 2006, it has become a cornerstone in local and global mall culture. Nineteen years later, it continues to elevate its status as the premier shopping mall with its biggest upgrade yet. Let us introduce you to the MOA SKY!
The Sky’s the Limit
In 2015, the company disclosed plans of expanding MOA even further. And ten years later, these plans were materialized.
MOA SKY is said to be the Philippines’ largest rooftop garden, with a panoramic view overlooking Manila Bay! It houses sections dedicated to leisure, sports, and entertainment. These include a FIFA World Cup-sized soccer field, a botanical garden, an amphitheater, a dog park, and meditation spaces.
A History of Excellent Developments
MOA is no stranger to receiving successful upgrades. The mall currently houses the first IMAX theater in the Philippines, as well as an Olympic-size skating rink where the 30th SEA Games was held. They’ve also expanded their space to include hotels and residential areas, a school, and a museum!
SM Prime is also dedicated to sustainable urban planning and incorporates eco-friendly features such as solar car parks, water recycling systems, and LED lighting into all new developments. Lastly, the company guarantees that the mall’s landscape and infrastructure are resistant to earthquakes and erosion, ensuring community well-being and disaster preparedness.
