From Healing Touch to Takeoff
Alangui’s initial passion lay in caring for others. In 2014, she became a registered nurse, demonstrating her dedication to the medical field. However, her aspirations soared even higher. That same year, she competed in the prestigious Ms. Lang-ay Festival, showcasing beauty and intellectual prowess by winning a science research competition.
Breaking Barriers, Reaching New Heights
Determined to contribute to her nation’s defense, Lei Vanette Alangui set her sights on the esteemed Philippine Air Force (PAF). In 2017, she shattered glass ceilings by becoming the first Igorot woman to graduate from the grueling PAF Officer Candidate Course (PAF OCC).
