Finland is inviting single people from around the world to join a unique dating and culinary experience, with 16 selected participants receiving an all-expenses-paid four-day getaway. This free Finland trip is part of a campaign called Finnish Dinner Date, where international travelers can explore Finnish food, meet new people, and possibly find romance along the way.
Organized by Visit Finland, the country’s tourism board, the experience will take place in February 2027. Selected participants will be assigned to either Helsinki or Tampere, where they will enjoy local food, cultural activities, and a blind group dinner with fellow international travelers and Finnish singles.
Free Finland Trip to Single People
Visit Finland’s Finnish Dinner Date campaign will select 16 international singles for two separate four-day experiences scheduled between February 9 and 19, 2027.
Eight participants will travel to the Helsinki region, while another eight will visit Tampere in Finland’s Lakeland region. Each group will enjoy a hosted itinerary featuring local activities, dining experiences, and opportunities to discover Finnish culture.
The selected participants will have their flights, accommodations, meals, and planned activities covered. The experience is designed to give travelers a chance to explore Finland without paying for the main trip expenses.
The Experience Includes Food, Travel, and a Blind Group Date
The campaign is not just about meeting a potential romantic partner. Visit Finland also wants participants to experience the country’s food culture and regional traditions.
The Helsinki dinner will feature a menu created by Adele Kinnunen, head chef at Café Savoy. Meanwhile, Henry Tikkanen, restaurateur behind Gösta and a representative of Finland at the Bocuse d’Or culinary competition, will create the menu for the Tampere experience.
Participants can expect Finnish ingredients and regional dishes featuring wild fish, berries, mushrooms, and other locally sourced food. The itinerary will also introduce them to the destinations through different culinary and cultural activities.
Who Can Apply for the Free Finland Trip?
The campaign welcomes single adults from around the world, making it an opportunity that Filipinos can also consider.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, single, and not Finnish citizens or residents. They must apply individually and be open to meeting new people during the experience.
However, being selected does not mean organizers will find someone a romantic match. The dinner is a group experience designed to encourage connections while introducing visitors to Finnish culture and cuisine.

How to Apply for Finland’s Free Dinner Date Campaign
Interested applicants must complete two steps to enter the campaign.
Step 1: Create and post an introduction video.
Applicants must record a short video in English answering this question:
“What would you serve on a dinner date, and why?”
They must upload the video to Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube using the hashtag #FinnishDinnerDate and tag Visit Finland’s official account.

Instagram and TikTok accounts must be public so organizers can view the entries. YouTube videos may be public or unlisted, allowing applicants to share their entry through a link without making it publicly searchable.
Step 2: Complete the official application form.
After posting the video, applicants must visit the official Visit Finland campaign website and complete the online application form. They must include the link to their entry video.
Only one application per person will be accepted.

Application Deadline Is November 10, 2026
Those interested in joining the campaign should submit their applications before the deadline.
Visit Finland will accept entries until November 10, 2026, at 11:59 a.m. Finnish time (EET, UTC+2). For applicants in the Philippines, that is 5:59 p.m. on November 10, 2026.
Selected participants will be contacted personally, while the public announcement of the 16 winners is scheduled for December 1, 2026, through Visit Finland’s Instagram and TikTok accounts.
The four-day experiences will take place between February 9 and 19, 2027. Participants will be assigned to either Helsinki or Tampere, with their destination revealed after their selection is confirmed.
