Dinagyang food fest offers the best in Iloilo cuisine

One of the events lined up for this year’s Dinagyang Festival is a food fair on January 24-27 where guests can have a taste of different Ilonggo delicacies.

According to Iloilo Hotels, Resorts, and Restaurants Association (IHRRA) past president Happy Abenir, 25 members have already confirmed participation.

“We will be providing good food, the best of what Iloilo has to offer,” she said.

Abenir also assured guests that security procedures and sanitary management have been arranged for the food festival.

What to expect at Dinagyang food fest

IHRRA, which will facilitate the event, has been the organization responsible for the annual food festival at Iloilo City’s Delgado Street for 20 years now.

Accordin to IHRRA, kioks that are accredited by the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc. can be found at the event. These food kiosks will be selling in major streets identified by the foundation.

Meanwhile, Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III temporarily suspended the mandatory closure of night clubs, resto bars, and other similar establishments at 2am.

Espinosa emphasized that the suspension of Executive Order (EO) 146 takes effect from January 25 to January 27.

The liquor ban and curfew for minors, however, will stay in effect unless they are with guardians or parents.
