P-pop Goes Global: BINI, SB19, HORI7ON Join International Music Fests

2026 is the year that P-pop goes global! Three (3) idol groups are stepping onto some of the biggest international music festivals, showcasing Filipino talent to massive crowds. Here’s where they’re heading!

BINI: Coachella 2026

Held annually in Indio, California, Coachella is one of the most profitable music festivals in the world, drawing around 200,000+ attendees across two (2) weekends. This year, the festival returns with Weekend 1 on April 10-12 and Weekend 2 on April 17-19. This is where P-pop goes global, with the “Nation’s Girl Group,” BINI, performing on April 10 and 17, respectively.

As the first Filipino act in the lineup, their inclusion marks a major breakthrough for P-pop on the Western stage. Known for their polished choreography and empowering pop sound, their set places Pinoy talent alongside some of the biggest names in music (Sabrina Carpenter and KATSEYE will perform on the same dates!).

HORI7ON: 2026 ROUND ASEAN-Korea Music Festival

The ROUND Festival is a 2-day event organized by the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (ACKF). It’s aimed at celebrating collaboration, diversity, and regional sound, highlighting how music connects cultures across borders. This year, it’ll be held on April 18 and 19 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

One of the acts for Day 2 is boy group HORI7ON. Formed through the Filipino-Korean survival show “Dream Maker,” the septet is Filipino talent honed through the K-pop training system. And on a stage designed for cultural dialogue, their participation is more than just performance; they’re blazing a new kind of global pop identity.

SB19: Lollapalooza 2026

Founded in 1991 and now held annually in Chicago (with iterations around the world), Lollapalooza is one of the longest-running global music festivals, attracting around 400,000 attendees and having staged artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Green Day, and BTS’ j-hope.

This year’s festival will be held from July 30 to August 2, and the “Kings of P-pop,” SB19, are set to perform. As the prime example of how P-pop goes global, the quintet has built a reputation for high-impact dances and storytelling-driven songs. And their set is bound to reflect their evolution from local breakouts to an internationally recognized group.
