French are top foreign tourists in Sagada

Sagada continues to attract local travelers and foreign visitors from all over the world with its scenic beauty, incredible culture, and awesome adventures.

According to the Sagada Municipal Tourism Office, a total of 58,722 local and foreign tourists visited the town from January to March this year.

French nationals top the list of foreign visitors who have been to this charming municipality in the Mountain Province, followed by Germans, British, then Spanish.

Tourist arrivals are expected to go up during the second quarter, as the town enters its peak months of April and May. Summer is typically the peak season in Sagada, according to Mayor James Pooten.

In line with this, Mayor Pooten appealed to tourists by emphasizing the importance of registering in the tourism office upon their arrival. This is to ensure their safety, as they explore the town and its wonderful tourist spots.

The municipality strictly implements the “no guide, no tour” policy in order to ensure that proper assistance is given to tourists and that the tourist sites are monitored as well.

The town of Sagada is known for its natural beauty, witnessed through tourist spots such as Sumaguing Cave, Lake Danum, Kiltepan Viewpoint, and Bomod-ok Falls.
