11-year-old Pinay Dominates Hong Kong International Rhythmic Gymnastics

A Pinay gymnast princess has ruled the 11-year-old category of the Hong Kong Queens Cup 2017 International Rhythmic Gymnastic competition.

Breanna L. Labadan, 11 years old, bagged three golds and a bronze in the said competition that was held from Dec. 16 to 17 and was named as the Individual All-Around Champion.

Being the lone gymnast to represent the Philippines didn’t stop Breanna from besting participants from other countries including China, Malaysia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

The Ball Apparatus, Clubs Apparatus, and the Individual All-Around routines are the categories where Breanna won gold. Her bronze in the Ribbon Apparatus routine was still enough to crown her the champion based on total points accumulated.

“We are happy with the outcome of Breanna’s efforts. Her triumph was a result of dedication and hard work. We dedicate this to God and The Philippines,” said proud mother, Laurice Labadan.

Labadan trains under the Gymnastic Association of the Philippines (GAP) as a pre-junior national pool member. She studies at St. Scholastica College Manila.
