World’s Largest Mövenpick to Rise in Manila by Megaworld
Megaworld Corp. is elevating the Philippines’ global hospitality profile as it unveils plans for the world’s largest Mövenpick hotel at Manila Bay Westside. The developer partnered with French hotel giant Accor to convert the 1,530-room Grand Westside Hotel into Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside, creating a new benchmark for large-scale premium hotels in the region.
Megaworld Hotels & Resorts, the company’s hospitality arm, signed a landmark deal that includes brand alignment, systems integration and a full set of operational upgrades. The group aims to open the hotel before the end of 2026.
A milestone partnership
Megaworld strengthens its international presence through this collaboration. “The opening of the world’s largest Mövenpick is a powerful testament to our efforts to scale world-class offerings and meet the demands of the broader international market,” said Cleofe Albiso, managing director of Megaworld Hotels & Resorts.

Meanwhile, Accor underscores the Philippines’ growing demand. Garth Simmons, chief operating officer for Accor Asia’s premium, midscale, and economy division, said the partnership expands Accor’s local footprint at a time when domestic and international travel continue to rise.
A hotel built for a global audience
Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will offer four specialty dining outlets, an expansive pool deck with panoramic views of Manila Bay, and premium facilities aligned with Mövenpick’s upscale brand standards. Its 1,530 rooms make it the largest Mövenpick hotel worldwide, reinforcing the Philippines’ place on the global hospitality map.
Furthermore, the hotel will play a central role in the fast-developing Westside City. It will link to an integrated casino and entertainment complex via a dedicated skybridge. It will also sit next to the country’s first Grand Opera House, allowing visitors to access a broader cultural and entertainment experience.
An anchor development for Manila Bay Westside
As tourism rebounds, Megaworld pushes Westside City to become a major destination for both leisure and business travelers. Additionally, the arrival of the world’s largest Mövenpick adds an international boost to the district, strengthening Manila’s appeal as a world-class entertainment and hospitality hub.
With its massive scale, globally recognized brand, and strategic location, Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will reshape the local hotel landscape and welcome a new wave of visitors to the country.
