Jolliskwela: Jollibee Empowers Employees to Support Education
Jollibee is bringing its signature joy from the counter to the classroom. On October 14, 2025, the company officially launched Jolliskwela, its first-ever education-focused employee volunteerism program, in partnership with the Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) and the Department of Education (DepEd).
The launch gathered DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, JGF representatives, and Jollibee executives — all united by one goal: to make learning more accessible and enjoyable for Filipino students.
What Makes Jolliskwela Special
The name Jolliskwela combines “Jollibee” and “eskwela,” symbolizing the company’s commitment to supporting education. Through this initiative, Jollibee employees will volunteer their time and skills to help improve the learning experience of students nationwide.
Activities include reading and math tutorials, classroom improvement projects, and nutrition support for learners in need. Moreover, Jolliskwela encourages employees to make volunteering part of their work culture, turning them into mentors, storytellers, and community builders.
Jollibee isn’t just serving meals anymore — it’s serving hope and opportunity to the next generation.
The Power of Partnership: Jollibee, JGF & DepEd
At launch, Secretary Angara commended the program as “a model of how private companies can play an active role in strengthening basic education.” The collaboration pairs JGF—responsible for training and coordinating employee-volunteers—with DepEd, which ensures the program’s activities align with the curriculum and school needs.
Through this partnership, Jolliskwela stands to benefit from DepEd’s landscape knowledge while leveraging Jollibee’s nationwide reach. Importantly, the program targets schools in resource-challenged settings, thereby narrowing the gap and making learning more inclusive.

Because of this alignment, Jolliskwela positions itself to achieve meaningful impact: improving student support and engaging corporate volunteers in education.
Volunteering with a Purpose
For Jollibee’s team members, Jolliskwela offers a new way to live out the company’s value of joy in serving others. Employees can participate in volunteer days, assist teachers, and lead learning sessions for students.
Additionally, the program helps volunteers develop leadership skills, strengthen teamwork, and connect their daily work to a deeper national purpose. Through Jolliskwela, they become part of something bigger — helping young learners build brighter futures.
Nurturing the Nation’s Future
As Jollibee expands Jolliskwela nationwide, it envisions more classrooms filled not just with students but also with mentors who care. Through continued collaboration and compassion, the company hopes to build stronger communities and more confident learners.
Ultimately, this initiative proves that fast food can also serve as a catalyst for change — and that every small act of service can spark a significant difference in someone’s life.
Because when education thrives, so does the Philippines.
