Filipino Food Products Take Spotlight at SIAL Middle East 2018
Ten Philippine companies showcased their products at the Salon International de l’alimentation (SIAL) 2018 in Abu Dhabi. The event was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from December 10 to 12, 2018.
The companies who exhibited include Audrey’s Confectioneries, Alter Trade, JPM Eco Farm Inc., Alenter Food, Inc., Ilocos Food Products, JNRM Corporation, T.P. Food Processing Corporation, Feb20 Enterprises/Mandaue Nutritious, GCB Food Products, and Pasciolco Agri Ventures.
The Philippines wins SIAL’s Innovation Award
For the first time, the Philippines won SIAL’s Innovation Award — a recognition for those who help shape the food that people eat today and in the future.
JNRM Corporation’s Instayum Mushroom Chips was given the SIAL Middle East Innovation Bronze Award for reinventing mushroom into a delicious and nutritious snack.
His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, and Patron of SIAL Middle East personally visited the Philippine pavilion during the event.
Other products in the exhibit where top and halal-certified trade goods including banana and sweet potato chips, sugarcane products, muscovado sugar, coconut products and other by-products, organic tea and capsule, polvoron, flavorings and syrup, and various bottled goods.
